As we approach a change of seasons and holidays our enduring value statement and mission focus endures. A new year brings the opportunity to look where we have been and where we are going as a hometown police force. Our thanks to those in the community who continue to provide us support and healthy and constructive recommendations to improve service but never compromising the safety of our community.
With the holidays now behind us and time well spent with family and friends, we look ahead to a new year and new opportunities for success and a renewed commitment to the residents of the City of Doraville.
I appreciate the warm welcome I have received from all of our community. My special thanks to the library staff for setting up not only my presentation but the series of presentations for our community.
On Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 6:30pm, the Doraville Police Department will be hosting a criminal street gang seminar for citizens and others wishing to attend. The training will be held at the Detective Hugo Arango Training Center located at the Doraville Police Department, 3750 Park Avenue, Doraville, GA 30340 and will last until approximately 8:00 – 8:30pm.
National Police Week will be held in Washington, D. C. from May 9-15, 2010.

The Doraville Police Department was out in the snow and ice this week with their Armored Personnel Carrier, assisting several stalled tractor trailers.
An Atlanta firm recently installed 72 solar panels at the Doraville police station, designed to conserve both money and energy.

On November 14, 2011, at approximately 1:50 in the morning, Doraville Police Dept. received a call of a home invasion in progress.
Officers arrived at the scene promptly and one suspect was taken into custody, while the other suspect fled on foot.
The Special Election will take place Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at City Hall. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. For more information, contact City Hall at 770-451-8745.
