On Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 6:30pm, the Doraville Police Department will be hosting a criminal street gang seminar for citizens and others wishing to attend. The training will be held at the Detective Hugo Arango Training Center located at the Doraville Police Department, 3750 Park Avenue, Doraville, GA 30340 and will last until approximately 8:00 – 8:30pm.
National Police Week will be held in Washington, D. C. from May 9-15, 2010.
Sunglasses, handbags, hats, and watches that were seized totaled approximately $4,500,000.00 in retail value.

The Northwoods Neighborhood Watch is hosting a National Night Out event for the city of Doraville early next month.
The 2010 Junior Citizen’s Police Academy will be July 12-16. The session is daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Classes are held at the Doraville Police Department Training Center. The Academy is open to ages 13-17 and space is limited.
On May 26th, a special Memorial Day Celebration was held in the Doraville Civic Center where Chief King recounted his experiences in his recent military service deployment with the 48th Infantry Brigade in Afghanistan.
On May 11, 2010 detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division with the assistance of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Gwinnett County Police Department, conducted four search warrants targeting counterfeit trademark merchandise.
