Operations Division

It is the policy of the Doraville Police Department to provide general law enforcement, order maintenance, emergency response, and social service functions to the citizens who reside, work, and visit in the City of Doraville. These services are provided primarily through the Field Operations Division.

Operations

The most visible component of the Doraville Police Department, the Field Operations Division is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a wide range of police services within the City of Doraville. It is comprised of the uniformed men and women assigned to four patrol shifts.

Reserve Program

The Doraville Police Reserve Program is comprised of members who volunteer their time to fulfill many of the roles handled by full-time sworn police officers. Reserve officers receive the same training as fulltime officers and work alongside them in every aspect of Department operations.

Specialized Operations

K-9 Unit

The Field Operations Division has dual purpose German Shepherds assigned to each shift that play a critical role in keeping the City safe. Dak and Tryko are all certified in narcotics and marijuana detection and Rudy is certified in explosive detection.
