Rodney Brinkley

The Administrative Division includes: managing the detention center, records department, the vital 911 communications center, as well as the evidence and property section.

Under the leadership of Captain Rodney Brinkley, the Administrative Division keeps the gears turning by managing the department’s day to day operations. This includes managing the detention center, the vital 911 communications center as well as the evidence and property section.

Additionally, Captain Brinkley is responsible for future development and system implementation of computer technology within the police department and technical integration within city services. Under his tenure the implementation and utility of the Emergency 911 System was initiated and unveiled to the citizens of Doraville in June 2005 and continues its maturity to date.

Captain Brinkley’s tenure in law enforcement spans 29 years service. He is a graduate of the University of Phoenix, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Captain Brinkley is also a graduate of the 40th Class of the Command College at Columbus State University, where he obtained a Masters Degree of Public Administration. Lastly, he is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy, Class #255.
