Looking ahead
With the holidays now behind us and time well spent with family and friends, we look ahead to a new year and new opportunities for success and a renewed commitment to the residents of the City of Doraville.
Chief John King As I reflect on the last eight years as Chief of police and my 20 years of sworn service, I have as my top goal to continue growing our agency in our level of service and professionalism to our community. As the most visible portion of city government, I see our police department as the vehicle to bring our diverse community together. Our strength is based on the deepest value to our oath of office and our respect for the civil rights of our citizens. We will continue to be the first line of defense against those who wish to harm the innocent and frail, never compromising our integrity, accountability and professionalism. We will strive to be second to none in our standards of excellence. With the support of our community, I am sure we will achieve these goals.
