As we approach the holidays and the end of another year
As we approach a change of seasons and holidays our enduring value statement and mission focus endures. A new year brings the opportunity to look where we have been and where we are going as a hometown police force. Our thanks to those in the community who continue to provide us support and healthy and constructive recommendations to improve service but never compromising the safety of our community.
As I reflect on the last nine years as Chief of police and my 21 years of sworn service, I have as my top goal to continue growing our agency in our level of service and professionalism to our community. As the most visible portion of city government, I see our police department as the vehicle to bring our diverse community together. Our strength is based on the deepest value to our oath of office and our respect for the civil rights of our citizens. We will continue to be the first line of defense against those who wish to harm the innocent and frail, never compromising our integrity, accountability and professionalism. We will strive to be second to none in our standards of excellence. With the support of our community, I am sure we will achieve these goals.
